Childhood innocence?

Published by jolocol at 12:18 am under Uncategorized Edit This

InnocenceWhen was the last time you have gone a week without hearing that a “nice, sweet” child used a gun and murdered somebody?  Maybe I’ve got it all wrong, but in my mind, nice, sweet children do not kill people when they are angry.  They do not plot to attack or kill their teacher for scolding them.  They just do not!

I wonder what the wonders of the media have done for our children.  Years ago, I spent hours previewing movies to make sure my children did not see any material that  was not appropriate for them.  Today, it seems that many parents think their children are mature beyond their years and they let them watch everything.  Children are performing acts my children didn’t even know existed at the ages of eight to twelve.

Where have all the children gone, long time passing?   Where have all the children gone, long time ago?  Where have all the children gone?  I don’t even want to know the ending of this song.   If parents don’t wake up and realize what is happening to their children soon, the incidences like this are only going to increase.

It is time for America to wake up and reclaim the innocence of our children.  Now.  Today.  Before it is too late.
